My Amazing Erasmus Trip to Bulgaria
Hello everyone! I want to share my experience in Bulgaria during my Erasmus trip. It was one of the most exciting and unforgettable experiences of my life.
Day 1: A Warm Welcome
The first day was very special because we finally arrived in Bulgaria. I was a little nervous but also excited. When we landed, the Bulgarian family welcomed us with open arms. They were very kind, and we had lunch together. The food was different from what I usually eat in Spain, but it was delicious. After lunch, we went to their home. It was very cozy, and I felt comfortable with them. I was happy to be there, even though I missed my family a little.
Day 2: Discovering Plovdiv
On the second day, we visited Plovdiv, one of the oldest towns in Europe. The streets were beautiful, full of history and culture. I loved the ancient buildings and the charming atmosphere. The weather was nice, so we walked a lot and took many pictures. Later, we went to a Bulgarian school. It was very interesting to see the differences between their school and ours. After school, we returned to our homes to rest.
Day 3: Museums and More
The third day was full of learning. We visited two museums, and both were amazing. I love history, so I enjoyed learning about Bulgaria’s past. The museums had old objects, paintings, and even traditional clothes. After that, we went to school again and met more students. They were friendly, and we talked a little, even though my English is not perfect. It was fun to learn about their culture and tell them about Spain.
Day 4: A Magical Monastery and a Special Celebration
On the fourth day, we visited the Rila Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Bulgaria. It was breathtaking. The mountains around it made the place even more magical. Inside, the paintings and decorations were very colorful and beautiful. I felt peaceful there. Later that night, we had a special dinner because it was a Bulgarian woman’s birthday. The celebration was lovely. We ate traditional food, listened to music, and had a great time. It was a special moment that I will always remember.
Day 5: Exploring Sofia and Saying Goodbye
The last day was a little sad because it was our final day in Bulgaria. But we still had one more adventure. We visited Sofia, the capital city. We took the subway, and to my surprise, there were ancient ruins inside the station. It was incredible to see history mixed with modern life. After exploring, we had a farewell dinner in a beautiful restaurant with the teachers and families. The food was delicious, and we laughed a lot. That night, I felt grateful for everything.
The next morning, we woke up very early to go to the airport. Saying goodbye was difficult because I made new friends and learned so much from this trip. Bulgaria is a wonderful country, and I will always keep these memories in my heart.
Would you like to go on an Erasmus trip? I totally recommend it!
